Magnetic Instrumentation Calibration Laboratory offers NIST-traceable calibration of Gaussmeters, Fluxmeters, Hall-effect probes, and reference magnets.

 

A2LA has accredited Magnetic Instrumentation, Inc. Indianapolis, IN for technical competence in the field of calibration. The accreditation covers the specific calibrations listed on the agreed scope of accreditation, which can be viewed at www.A2LA.org . The laboratory meets the requirements of ISO/IEC Guide 25-1990 “General Requirements for the Competence of Calibration and Testing Laboratories” (equivalent to relevant requirements of the ISO 9000 series of standards), ANSI/NCSL Z540-1-1994, and any additional program requirements in the identified field of calibration. A2LA Certificate Number 1462.01, valid to May 31, 2002.

Decision rules disclosure: In conformance with EA-4/01, 1995, Requirements Concerning Certificates Issued by Accredited Calibration Laboratories, section 3.4, “When parameter(s) are certified to be within specified tolerances, the measurement value(s), extended by the estimated uncertainty of measurement … shall fall within the appropriate specification limit.” With agreement from the customer, other decision rules may be used.

Please direct your communications to the Sales Department. For technical assistance or spare parts, please supply model and serial number of the equipment.

All prices are Ex works Indianapolis, Indiana.

Specify routing, forwarder (including contact name and phone number) and ship to address.

Specify line voltage and frequency. There may be an additional charge.

Payment Terms:
Payment must be made by letter of credit if the order exceeds $15,000 U.S. dollars. If the order is less than $15,000 U.S. dollars, payment may be made by MasterCard, Visa, or wire transfer in advance.
When placing an order exceeding $15,000 U.S. dollars with us, we request that you have your bank issue a confirmed irrevocable letter of credit in our favor for the full amount of the order unless other arrangements have been agreed upon prior to order placement. The letter of credit can be advised through any U. S. bank. We ask that the monies guaranteed by this letter of credit be released upon presentation of our invoice to you. All prices are quoted and payable to us in U.S. dollars with shipment terms being Ex works Indianapolis, Indiana. Your order will not be released for production until we are advised that your letter of credit has been received. All bank charges are to the account of the buyer. Magnetic Instrumentation, Inc. will not accept bank charges. Please specify name and address of your preferred method of shipment and carrier, if you have one. Otherwise, we will make the appropriate arrangements. Freight charges will be billed collect.

Magnetic Instrumentation, Inc. warrants each instrument of its manufacture to be free from defects in material and workmanship. Our obligation under this Warranty is limited to servicing or adjusting any instrument returned to our factory for that purpose, and to replacing any defective parts thereof (excluding electron tubes, batteries, transistors, probe-sensing elements,  which parts are covered by a standard EIA 90-day Warranty). This Warranty covers instruments which, within one (1) year after delivery to the original purchaser and which, upon examination, shall disclose to our satisfaction to be defective. If it is determined that the defect has been caused by misuse or abnormal conditions of operation, repairs will be billed after the submission of an estimate to the purchaser.

Magnetic Instrumentation, Inc. reserves the right to make changes in design at any time without incurring any obligation to install same on units previously purchased.

This Warranty is expressly in lieu of all other obligations or liabilities on the part of Magnetic Instrumentation, Inc. and Magnetic Instrumentation, Inc. neither assumes (nor authorizes any other person(s) to assume for them) any other liability in connection with the sale of Magnetic Instrumentation, Inc. instruments.

Unauthorized Modifications
The above Warranty is void if any unauthorized modifications are made without prior written consent from Magnetic Instrumentation, Inc.

Damage in Shipment
The instrument (and packaging) should be examined and tested as soon as it is received. If it does not operate properly, or if it is damaged in any way, immediately file a claim with the carrier. The Claim Agent will provide report forms. A copy of the completed form should be forwarded to us. We will then make the necessary arrangements for repair or replacement. All correspondence concerning this instrument should include the model and serial numbers.

Shipping Instructions

All instruments of Magnetic Instrumentation, Inc. being returned under warranty should be returned via the same carrier that it was originally shipped. Always use the original shipping carton and inserts, if possible, or pack the instrument in a sturdy container and surround the entire instrument with two or three inches of excelsior or similar shock-absorbing material.
