Gaussmeter Model 912
Teslameter Model 912T

Description

The Model 912/912T is a compact, accurate and stable instrument designed for the measurement of permanent magnet, DC and AC magnetic fields with a high degree of resolution. Flux density is displayed on a 4½ digit, bipolar, seven segment LED readout. A rear panel switch allows the operator to reduce the resolution to 3½ digits when the full capabilities of the instrument are not required.
The internal calibration circuit is factory adjusted using Reference Magnets with 0.2% accuracy, certified traceable to the National Institute of Science and Technology.
All Hall Probes are marked with their own calibration constant. The mode of operation, permanent magnet/DC, AC or peak, is selected by pushbutton switch. Peak mode enables static (PM or DC) fields to be analyzed for maximum value with the highest reading held in memory. Instrument zero is easily set by use of the coarse or fine zero controls. The five ranges are selected by means of a rotary range selector.

A wide choice of both transverse and axial Hall Effect Probes are available to enable the meter to measure many different configurations of magnetic fields.
The optional digital dual limit comparator is ideally suited to production line testing. Minimum and maximum acceptable limits are set on the digital comparator; the operator need only look at the indicator lights, resulting in less operator fatigue and error.
The BCD output from the display is compared with the thumbwheel limit set points resulting in an accurate HI-GO-LO indication. The HI, GO, LO and NO GO (+5 VDC 30 ma internal transistor) signals are available on the rear panel.
The differential adaptor (Model 913) expands the capabilities of the Model 912/912T to enable differential magnetic measurements to be performed. In its differential mode, using two probes, magnetic variations as small as 10 Gauss in a 1000 Gauss field can be detected. Two probes are used to simultaneously measure the magnetic fields or the gradient in a common field.
The IEEE-488, digital comparator and the Model 913 require the double wide or rack mount cabinet.
